Christopher Heron

A Montrealer born and raised, Christopher Heron has been an emphatic ambassador for gospel music. Over the past 30 years, he's been instrumental in producing a slew of notable gospel concerts, featuring artists like Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, and Mali Music, to name a few. In addition to producing special events and two gospel music festivals for the City of Montreal, in 1994, Heron co-created gospel TV show A Taste Of Heaven on CJNT-TV, hosted by Isabelle Racicot. In 2000, he co-founded, currently serves as an industry rep for, and was lead writer for BET series Joyful Noise. Most notably, Christopher has earned awards and notoriety as the steady host and producer of Mind, Soul & Spirit on CKUT 90.3 FM.

Since its debut in 1990, the three-hour gospel radio show has played an instrumental role as a reliable media outlet for information, commentary, and inspirational music. The show has interviewed popular gospel personalities, like Kirk Franklin, Dr. Trevor Payne, Jean Jean, and Carol Bernard, to name a few. The program also highlights community events, offers a weekly inspirational segment, and spotlights emerging and established Quebec and Canadian recording artists. Heron is a proud ambassador and liaison within Montreal's multilingual, multicultural church communities.
