Spirits of the Mask-Dancers is a contemporary art project which, through the use of aesthetic and sensory experiences, highlights Blacks' shared history. It tells its stories through masks worn by both men and women. The African mask's meaning is important and it plays a major role in the the social fabric of African communities.
For this occasion, there will be a series of photographs (21 20'' X 28'' photographs) together with short poems that will offer descriptions of the meaning of the masks and the people wearing them. The visual ambience will vary between static and animated photographs.
Curator and Artistic Director: Guy Mushagalusa Chigoho.
