"I have a special relationship with Montreal's Black History Month. In 1996, I won the display show which led me to complete a three months internship in Paris as a graphic designer for a communication agency toward the end of my studies. It is an honour for me to have received the assignment of creating a new logo in 2010.
The focus is put on the earth and the African continent. It must not be forgotten that the Black people's history is in reality the history of our humanity on this planet. We are God's children, descendants of mighty and rich kingdoms which were the envy of... Africa is where we come from, and where we will return."
Keithy Antoine
Entrepreneur, graphic artist, illustrator...
Born in Quebec from a Haitian family, she is an entrepreneur who is based in Montreal. She is a graphic artist, journalist, producer and DJ. She specializes in all aspects of the urban culture in its diversity, complexity and codes.
She is currently producing and hosting Lounge urbain Radio on 1610 AM – which is getting more popular – every Saturday from midnight to 4 am (loungeurbain.com). She is also working on a set of illustrations, which will come out under the brand name Full of Soul (fullofsoul.ca).
Keithy Antoine aka SpecialK is campaigning for the emancipation of the urban culture from here in Quebec and from elsewhere.
